Free Early Intervention Service for Schools and Community Groups
Wellbeing workshops and 1:1 support for children and young people across Nottinghamshire and Nottingham City.
Early help changes everything.

BeU Hubs is a free early intervention service for children and young people across Nottinghamshire and Nottingham City.
We partner with schools and community groups to deliver group wellbeing workshops and 1:1 interventions.
BeU Hubs is commissioned by the Department of Health and Social Care. There is no cost to access our service.
Early help works.
Support is delivered by our team of Emotional Wellbeing Practitioners who are trained to use strengths-based and goals-based approaches. We make use of psychoeducation to help children and young people understand and manage their wellbeing.

Our Workshop Library
We offer a range of wellbeing workshops for groups of children and young people. These workshops cover a range of topics which encourage self-expression, builds resilience and helps them to feel connected and a sense of community. Through interactive activities and discussions led by our Practitioners, we help to provide children and young people with access to tools that they can use in their day-to-day life to manage their wellbeing and celebrate their individuality.

Stress and overwhelm can disrupt how we manage emotions like anger or sadness, often leading to withdrawal or expressions of distress, both verbal and physical. Understanding the connection between the mind and body can help us develop strategies to manage these challenges and support overall well-being.

Year 6 Teacher’s Feedback
“Both of the workshops were excellent in terms of educating the children on their emotions, identifying these, their triggers and how to best manage these.
By equipping them with this knowledge, the children have a better understanding of their emotions and feel more empowered to better manage these too.
The children engaged really well with both of the workshops and really enjoyed the sessions. Quite a number of the children have commented on the sessions over the last few days, explaining that they found the sessions really useful themselves and feel a little more confident in dealing with anxieties and emotions.
A number of the children have also already acted on what they have learnt, using some of the techniques such as creating a calming pack around the senses.
I thought the sessions were very well delivered with a good mixture of short activities, explanations and appropriate videos to assist.
The content was engaging and excellently pitched, with explanations appropriate for the children that were easy to understand without being too complicated.
The staff were excellent and had an excellent manner with the children. All of the children engaged well with the one to one sessions and found them useful.”
